this is release 0.3.1 of netload_applet, my GNOME network load monitoring applet. This is still in development stage, but it works fine and stable. Some features are yet to be added.
The applet works in FreeBSD now as well. The only problem left there is that right now autoconf doesn't guess the correct installation paths. Any help with that would be very appreciated.

Of course, there is a screenshot available. It's from v0.2.0, but the look hasn't changed since then.
You see the panel in action right in the bottom middle, with the popup menu open. There is the current receive data rate printed in the middle, and the maximum data rate in the top left of the applet. The dark green horizontal line shows the average receive rate. The light green bar graph is the receive graph, the red line graph is the transmit graph. All these items are completely customizable through the Preferences dialog.
